Mount St. Mary Academy is proud to launch the Lean In Girls Program for our Freshmen Honors Cohort!

Lean In Girls™ is a global leadership initiative that stems from Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In™ movement, which empowers women in the workplace. It is designed to help young girls gain confidence, practice leadership skills, explore their values, and build resilience! Our students are challenged to think outside the box and discover new, innovative ways to be leaders in today’s society. Our group sessions consist of activities and discussions designed to discuss important, relevant topics, such as bias, stereotypes, gender equality, allyship, and inclusivity. All of these topics are tied in with leadership, and the girls are tasked each week to put the skills they learn into practice in the school and community.

As one of 180 schools worldwide participating in this inspiring program, we are excited to see our students grow and learn throughout their time at MSM!
